I offer content and editing services. As a broadly educated, voracious reader, I feel confident writing about most topics. My specialties include psychology, forensic psychology, investigations, and law. I also offer expert reviewing services to novelists who are looking for an accuracy check on their portrayal of psychological concepts, such as those present in crime or mystery novels.

Flowstone is a rock formation created when dripping water deposits minerals. Just as flowstone forms over time, I have built expertise in writing, psychology, law, and investigations through years of education and specialized work. My academic credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. I’ve studied research methods, mental health, personality, social psychology, and nonverbal decoding. While studying for my Master's, I was the Lab Coordinator for my program’s psychopathy lab. My Master’s thesis, an examination of psychopathy and perceptions of vulnerability in others, was published in <i>The Journal of Interpersonal Violence</i> in 2017.

On the professional front, I have interned with the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General and spent a year as a paralegal in an immigration law firm. Both required precise, fact-based writing. I spent several years working in private intelligence, drafting numerous investigative reports detailing my case findings. This work involved researching and evaluating many sources, from complex lawsuits to social media posts and everything in between. Later I transitioned to the public sector with the Massachusetts Office of the Inspector General, where I was a Lead Investigator. At the OIG, I wrote reports and gave presentations for internal stakeholders and other government agencies. I contributed to several public reports and created materials to support the prosecution of cases I had investigated. In 2022, I was recognized with the John Williams performance award. I have also peer reviewed an article for <i>The Journal of Interpersonal Violence.</i>

I have expertise in both long and short form writing for many audiences, including academics and the public. My philosophy of writing is to develop clarity of thought before putting a single word on the page. To write is to think. No amount of pretty words will disguise poor content—and I always deliver stellar content. Through my editing services, I help writers develop their ideas and polish their words so the intended meaning shines through.
